Parish Hall Roof
Our roof project started on Sept 22 with the removal of the solar panels by Solar Direct Canada.
The Roofman started installation of our new steel roof on Sept 28 with the strapping on the west roof.

Grandparents Club — Workshops
The Grandparents Club is going ahead, with workshops every other Tuesday at Grace Church. Each workshop explores a different theme, beginning with “The Prayers of Spiritual Elders” on Tuesday, September 29. The next one follows on Tuesday, October 13.
It isn’t only for grandparents. The workshops are open to anyone in the second half of life who has a meaningful relationship with younger people and wants to share their faith and spiritual journey. Whether you’re a grandparent, great-grandparent, great-aunt or great-uncle, godparent, or simply a caring mentor, you’re warmly invited, and you don’t need to belong to Grace to come.
Many of us have served the church for years and carry a quiet hope that our children and grandchildren will come to know the Christian faith for themselves. These workshops are a place to encourage one another in that, and to find some practical help along the way.

Men's Work Day – October 3
The Men of Grace are inviting all men to join us for a Church Work Day on Saturday, October 3 from 9am to noon. We have a variety of maintenance and repair projects, both big and small, that will help keep our church building and grounds in good condition.
No special skills are required. Whether you’re experienced with repairs or simply willing to lend a hand, there will be plenty of opportunities to help. It’s also a great chance to meet and connect with other men in the church while learning more about what it takes to maintain our facilities.
Come out for a few hours of fellowship, service, and teamwork as we work together to care for our church home.
Date: October 3, 9-12
Who: All men are welcome
What: Church maintenance and repair projects

Musicians Wanted for Our Carol Sing-along
Sunday, December 6 at 7 p.m. in the church.
We’re planning this year’s Feast of St. Nicholas Christmas Carol Sing-along, and we need musicians to help make it a fun evening for everyone. Children, teens and adults are all welcome, whether you’ve played for years or are just starting out. This isn’t a talent contest. It’s a chance to sing and play some of your favourite carols and seasonal songs, get ready for the Season together, and enjoy treats brought by the Elves. St. Nicholas himself may make an appearance!

Alongside Hope supports emergency response in Nepal
Please give today to Alongside Hope’s Nepal Emergency Response Fund.
Your gift will help LWF Nepal provide food, emergency shelter, household supplies and other urgent support to families who have lost nearly everything.
LWF Nepal has provided emergency supplies to 136 flood-affected households in Bidur Municipality, including kitchen utensil sets, family tents and tarpaulins. As needs continue to unfold, the response will focus first on vulnerable families, then support early recovery and long-term resilience.

Celebrating Adedayo's Ordination to the Priesthood
Something happens this fall that a parish doesn’t often get to celebrate. Adedayo, who was ordained a deacon earlier this year, will be ordained a priest.
He has been part of Grace for years. He’s helped with TIGERs, lent a hand with Sunday school, and quietly done a great deal around the church besides — and through all of it he felt God calling him to holy orders.
We’d like to mark it together. Starting September 20, the gift box will be on the soldier’s table beside the sacristy door for anyone who would like to contribute towards Adedayo’s ordination.
You don’t need to have known him well to take part. If you’re newer to Grace, or you’re only here some Sundays, or you’d rather give a small amount than a large one, please add to it anyway — it all goes
to him with our thanks.
