Front Stair Replacement

Update 3:  The concrete work is done and the concrete has been sealed and the sprinklers are re-installed.  Next step is new railings.

Update 2:  The concrete work is almost complete, they just need to seal the surfaces and then we can replace the irrigation piping that was moved and start using the new walkway and stairs.

Update: They got a great start on Monday, removing the old material and setting up the forms.  Concrete was poured on Tuesday.

The stone steps up to the tower door are being replaced this week, along with some of the concrete walkway in front of the steps and along the west wall of the church where it has been tilting.

Removal has begun and construction equipment may impact access to the driveway at times although the contractor will try to minimize inconvenience.

Once the concrete work is done we will be able to order new hand rails which may take a few weeks to fabricate.

Hall Window Replacement Fundraiser

As presented at a special vestry earlier this year, the windows in the upper hall are in need of replacement as many can no longer be secured, some are showing signs of rot and none are thermally efficient.

The windows are on order, with grant funds to cover the deposit (the grant terms meant the funds had to be spent by a specific date or lost).

The balance is being financed by internal fund raising and we are well under way with some generous donations but still need help to meet our goal and finish filling in our progress tracker.

Heat Pumps Installed !

Our graciously donated heat pumps for the upper and lower halls have been installed and are now operating, just in time to provide comfortable temperatures for the users of our two halls during the coming summer months.

Come the cooler temperatures in the fall, they will reverse operation and heat our halls much more efficiently than the old base board heaters, reducing the heating portion of our electric bill.

A big thank-you to Anthony Lippa and C.H.A.M.P Engineering for your generous donation.

New windows are on order for the upper hall, further aiding our thermal efficiency while also improving the security of our building.
