Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.’ Matthew 19.14. At the beginning of our 10 a.m. Liturgy, children gather at the Chancel steps for a short conversation with the rector. Parent-teachers lead a “one room” Sunday School in the Parish Hall during the Liturgy of the Word. At communion time Children are invited to come with their parents to the Altar Rail to receive the Sacrament or a blessing from the priest. At the end of the Liturgy, the children enjoy the Celebration Song, which they sing as they march around the church, making a “joyful noise” with percussion instruments.
